I don’t get this thing of bridesmaids arriving way ahead of the bride and sitting down leaving her to struggle by herself. Isn’t the point of bridesmaids supposed to be to assist her? I was bridesmaid twice in my youth (1960s/70s) and both times we followed the bride, carried her train etc.
