The Block – Season 11

This episode marks the end of nine hard weeks of renovating and the teams are exhausted but ecstatic to reveal their completed apartments to the judges

There are just 72 hours of renovating before the five apartments are due for completion and the contestants are busy finishing their terraces and re-do rooms. Its a crucial week for all the teams, and for one couple a fight with their builder reaches boiling point.

As terrace week continues the teams must also take into consideration their re-do rooms, as decided by the judges. Caro and Kingi’s only task is to find another sofa but Dean and Shay have an entire living room to create! A body corporate meeting takes place and the teams have trouble making a unanimous decision.

Tonight the teams inspect each other’s completed dining rooms and foyers, and Kingi and Caro aren’t happy with the judge’s scores. The contestants get on with planning and shopping for their terraces.

As a gruelling eighth week of renovating draws to an end, the contestants do their best to complete their dining rooms and foyers. For some of our contestants, it is a disappointing end to the week.

Suzi and Vonni face budget woes but they have some money saving ideas that they want to run by Keith. Caro goes shopping for some high end art to dress her dining room. Luke falls ill and doesn’t get his floors prepared in time for his tradesmen.

Dwindling budgets are stressing some contestants, and Shelley gives our teams the chance to win $10,000 with an Aldi cooking challenge. It’s an opportunity for the teams to use their sparkling kitchens, and the catch is that they have just $200 to spend.

The contestants are now in week eight of the competition and they turn their attention to their dining rooms and foyers. Some teams have spent too much of their budget in early weeks and others are held back by the severe Melbourne weather playing havoc with the build.

Kitchens Completed. This episode marks the end of the biggest week so far. Judges Neale, Shaynna and Romy Alwill are treated to five impressive kitchens. The teams have all worked hard to bring something new to their designs and the winning team takes home $10,000.

The contestants have the chance to win a much needed $10,000 tonight when they meet up with Scotty and Shelley at Melbourne University for a unique and exciting challenge. The teams must create their very own signature scented candle.
