I could buy John’s explanation of the swap if M and L had been swapped with any other couple except H and B. Making them the swap partners was transparently an attempt to be disruptive and destructive. It was downright malicious and sadistic.
Think the problem lied also with the opposite mindset: Could H and B be paired with any that wouldn’t have been viewed as malicious and sadistic? To me the only reason M and L got it was cause they were what seemed to be “closest” to them, even if that closeness was “hatred”. If they were paired based on who hates them the least, I feel that would have been Lyndall and Cam, and I don’t suspect that those 2 would have “stay”ed after that. I completely agree, the level of toxicity within bronte and harrison’s relationship or even just Harrison should’ve disqualified them from the experiment let alone the swap. Having Melinda and Layton swap with them was nothing but cruel. I couldn’t accept the way they basically told Layton do it exactly how we want you to, or you’re wrong oh and look you’re hurting Melinda by thinking not the same as everyone else. Are Brontë and Harrison gaslighting me?!! Harrison ends the relationship via text. Two dinner parties ago. But they’re still here, together. Brontë has removed those rose tinted glasses on at least two occasions. And yes, she’s still here. Am I watching the same thing as everyone else?

Duncan doesn’t stand a chance with Alyssa. She will always find something new to complain about because she’s completely incapable of seeing anything from anyone’s point of view but her own. She needs a lot of therapy and healing before she’ll be able to be in a healthy relationship. Duncan needs to leave, because she will bring him nothing but frustration and unhappiness.
Did Cam just talk about himself only being a priority during the homestay? He didn’t mention that he would like to see Lyndels life, her interests, her friend, etc. He’s so unaware of how shitty a partner he is.
