I love how honest Amaury is in contrast with Mel’s usual extremely biased opinions!
I liked how Mel gave the contestants benefit of the doubt.
And scores of 6 and 7 seemed very low and harsh from both judges, and obviously upsetting for the contestants!

It’s a shame that Amaury doesn’t like deserts all frozen. I think he went for a very old fashioned concept and flavours.
It definitely should’ve been Reynold or Jess. Looking at the whole shows, they prove to have such a wider skillset than Gareth
Absolutely agree, Gareth is a professional when it comes to old fashioned style, and a very well-deserved king of tarts, but not a * dessert * master imo
