Auction Finale. The Heartland is going under the hammer! After an extraordinary three months in Daylesford, it’s finally time to see who comes out on top as the winner of The Block 2025! First Broadcast: Sun, Oct 26, 2025

The continuous buffering was making the episode really hard to watch
All these extras to push the bids up are boring, irrelevant and totally distorting the whole point of the competition. The many sponsors have obviously decided creating a home is not interesting enough anymore, I guess.
… not that it made much difference in the end! Reserves obviously way too high.
This business is simple right place and right price or wrong place and right price.
This show need and i hope be shutdown, few years fir teach them respect.Make money for the show and people srewd 8 months for nothing.
i feel same jolane. The price is game wrong price is fraud.that what happing in nz block they got push the limite and ending badly and brook.
The best house won (IMO)
I still feel the boys deserved to win. They had the best house and best attitude throughout the season. A devastating result
I disagree yes they were fun but their attitudes weren’t the best and they aren’t good people. All the contestants ganged up on Britt and Taz multiple times. They certainly did not have the best house but I guess thats up to opinion as everyone has different taste and likes different styles. Their back yard with that giant fire place is an eye sore, if im sitting outside I’d like to watch my kids in the pool not through the Security cameras outside its so impractical
I think The Block has to stop doing these over the top multi million dollar homes. Watching the auctions in the last few years, it had only been 2 people bidding. Go back to homes or apartments that more people can afford.
Such disappoiment for the blockheads who have put their lives and families on hold for months.
Good point perhaps one or two apartments each pair or to change it up somehow with more affordable properties
It’s nice to see all the bells & whistles but enjoy seeing more of the contestants creativity in styling and if on a tight budget is more interesting
That said still best Reno reality show worldwide!
Gutted for the boys.
I feel like they need to refresh the format if the houses do not sell it’s a waste of time. They probably invested at least the reserve so can’t reduce that. Maybe they need to do 2 or 3 standard houses instead of 1 giant house with only 4 bedrooms
I don’t think the production company invested $15 mil in creating these 5 houses ($2990000 x 5). Would love to see their finances. It’s when they get greedy that the market doesn’t respond well and the contestants pay the price!
I would love to see them build a passive/high-performance house for your typical Aussie family, with great insulation, orientation to the sun, tight building envelope, HRV/ERV, highly efficient windows and doors! That is money well spent instead of all the “lifestyle” upgrades.
I had hoped for more for the boys especially since they have to share the winnings. They were so entertaining this year! For a future block I would love to see something on a smaller scale where contestants have to do more of the work themselves like they used to in previous seasons. And if they can make the houses a bit more affordable there might be some actual bidding wars. I do love this show so hope they can fix the format. (Also a shoutout to the editors, they cracked me up this year!!)
Wow! This finale brought all and more! Not surprised by the reserves but wasn’t expecting more sponsors gifts! The best house won as is stunning, but was still shocked as my other favs struggled – and there were no did houses like if previous seasons all were luxurious and make for beautiful homes – which made it such a great season as liked many aspects in every house. Feel the auctioneers were a bit too eager beaver to get it over with for the boys – like he had a hot date to get to! I do feel for them… Read more »
Oof that was a trainwreck to watch. I love this show lol. Cya next year <3
WHA DA FUQ?
Maybe if the reserves had been a bit lower it would have been a better result. It’s always nice to see the contestants do well after all their hard work.
Hope we get to hear soon if any got a good price on market
Wow wasn’t expecting that!!
Reserves were as expected
Nice to see maturity in deciding bidding order which was decided right
Sad about the outcome for many but sure it will come good for them in the end
Best house won
But this season they were many aspects in all house to love – haven’t seen that before
Em & Ben any soo cute
Em and Ben attitude was beautiful and showed their good values
The boys were shocked and worried on effect for others after them but still life changing for them
Even House4 showed surprising good grace!
agree, Ben & Em, such a great couple. House 4 reaction was suprising but hey if they had won nothing or passed in, it would have been all drama and hate!! alicia is a cow!
I’m trying to understand how all the reserves were the same. House 1 has the largest backyard, house 4 has a truck and caravan and house four has the most amenities. I had a gut feeling that the winners would’ve been Brit and Taz or Em and Ben. Brit and Taz were fortunate to go first. Looking forward to next season of the BLOCK. I love this show and wish they would create one here in the United States. I could imagine the drama an American version would be. LOL CONGRATULATIONS BRIT AND TAZ
They have an American one called Rock the Block. Three seasons or so? only a dozen eps per season and can’t touch the OG Block.
Rock the Block just doesn’t compare! I love The Block and can’t wait for the next season!
No where have I seen any breakdown of any of the costs for each house. No episode showed us them fixing up everything. Did brit and Taz leave he wine bar in shed? Did anyone do a runny tally of each room cost? Hallways weren’t showed. A few more episodes was definitely due. What was done to site after front yard week?
Really pleased for Brit and Taz and hopefully the houses that didn’t sell, sell for a decent profit for the contestants. It does seem, with the high reserves, that the production company is much more interested in making money for itself rather than giving the contestants a fair crack at making money. I’d love to see The Block making more regular sized (and priced) homes, ideally Passivhaus, busting with environmental benefits. No matter what, The Block is the best reno show in the world, love Scotty, Shelly, Dan, Keith and co. Stuck in the UK, in the wind and rain,… Read more »

they need to left the comment to the show in channel9.
so happy for Britt & Taz, the best couple on the show and the best result.
That was a hard watch. I agree with everyone who said they have to go back to affordable housing, with all the sponsorships they should be able to make these contestants life changing money, no one should be crying or feeling sick to their stomach, or devastated on auction day because all their hard work was pissed away. People stop their lives for this, it should be worth it in the end.
