Bay Watch was never that popular here in America, it was mostly adolescent boy who watched it ( for obvious reasons of the female persuasion) and personally I think Australia has it absolutely correct in using rescue boards an jet skis, not to mention most California lifeguards have massive egos, Australian lifeguards actually care about the safety and lives of the people, they do so much for charity and give back to their communities.
