I have watched every episode of The Block from the early days with Jamie Durie… In that time I have been irritated with and somewhat riled at the behaviours of some of the contestants. But I have never thoroughly disliked anyone until Tanya and Vito arrived this season. They lie. They lie about their lies. And they just don’t seem all that bright. I have started to fast forward through their bits… It ruins the experience for me… Fingers crossed that they vet next seasons contestants with an eye to intelligence and integrity.
There’s something really off about those two even aside from the pathological lying. Their interactions with each other seem just odd. She often finishes his sentences in a way that none of the other couples do and her expressions seem very contrived and fake. Maybe I’m reading into it because of my intense dislike for them but they seem sociopathic. The lack of any integrity, the way they rant on about other couples while they know they’re guilty of the biggest lie and haven’t even come clean yet about that photo is very far from normal.
