I think you professionals should’ve wheeled Alyssa in. Make her seek professional help because she’s not just ruining her relationship. She’s making Ducan suffer because she has issues and that isn’t fair to Ducan!!
You can’t ‘wheel a person’ into seeking help, and you can’t ‘make them’ seek professional help unless there’s danger to life.
I remember taking someone into counsel to get to a compromise in their behavior… they shut down once they saw the problem, walked out and never returned to therapy or counseling…and that WAS with life endangerment…they tend to need rock bottom to make a change.
