Bondi Rescue – Season 6

Christmas comes to Bondi, gifting the lifeguards their busiest day of the year thanks to a large group of backpackers with poor swimming skills and lots of alcohol-induced holiday spirit.

There’s a big swell heading for Bondi and the fearsome rips are taking swimmers out to sea. As if the big swell isn’t dangerous enough, the wind has also washed in thousands of stinging bluebottles.

Bluebottles swarm into Bondi with heavy consequences for swimmers, but a much more serious emergency unfolds on the beach when a man is brought to shore unable to feel anything from the neck down.

Young student Dan watches in horror as the lifeguards pull his unconscious friend Ryan from the surf and begin chest compressions. With Ryan clinically dead for five minutes, it’s not looking good.

The world’s most famous lifeguard, David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff comes to Bondi, redirecting swimmers into the flags, driving the jetski and even performing a simulated rescue.

In between rescues and shark spotings, Head Lifeguard Hoppo must decide if trainee Max has earned the right to become a fully-fledged lifeguard.

It’s a bad day for kids at Bondi, with one young boy losing his belongings and another swept out to sea. Meanwhile, Hoppo sends some of the team to train at the international capital of waves, Hawaii.
