I’m trying to break free of my Trauma Bond and process Betrayal Trauma after finally escaping my own toxic, covertly narcissistic “husband” of 26 years. This is spot on. I was also married to a “man” just like this, and now 12 years later I am always able to see this pattern immediately. They cannot be fixed; it is just the way they are.
